RAZZA DI JUNCU BEACH

Cala Razza di Juncu, a dog friendly beach on the Costa Smeralda
Here dogs and their owners can have fun together walking in the scrub or on the shore, or diving into the sea in complete freedom

Sister of the other three nearby coves, Cala Razza di Juncu – or Razza di Giunco, from the reeds that grow not far away – is a small beach immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, a line of white and golden sand that separates the green of the Mediterranean scrub and the emerald blue typical of the coasts of Sardinia.

In this area the sea is famous for being clear and characterized by richly populated sea beds, so much so that it is possible to walk in the water and admire the fish swimming placidly near the shore, while algae of numerous colors grow among the low emerging rocks smoothed by the wind.

Perfect for both snorkeling and surfing and windsurfing, the beach is also suitable for children because of its shallow water, ideal for taking their first steps on the shore in complete safety. Those who spend a day in this cove can admire both the natural landscape, embellished with trees that almost reach the shore, and that of the majestic boats that sometimes visit one of the four coves, giving bathers a truly remarkable spectacle.

But what makes Cala Razza di Juncu special is not only its beauty, also awarded by Legambiente with 4 sails, but the fact that here the coast is also open to dogs, making it one of the dog friendly beaches of the Costa Smeralda.

Here both dogs and their owners have the opportunity to have fun together walking in the scrub or on the water’s edge, taking a swim or playing on the coast, in a perfect location to take some souvenir photos with your four-legged friend!
