Sardinia at the Paris Tourism Show

“The presence of Sardinia at the most prestigious and popular international fairs in the world strengthens the message that, especially in this phase of the health emergency, we want to launch: the island is ready for a positive restart of its tourism market”. This was stated by the regional councilor for tourism, Gianni Chessa

“The presence of Sardinia at the most prestigious and popular international fairs in the world strengthens the message that, especially in this phase of the health emergency, we want to launch: the island is ready for a positive restart of its tourism market”. This was stated by the regional councilor for tourism, Gianni Chessa, during the meeting with the French press in the ‘Spazio Sardegna’ at the “Salon mondial du Tourisme” in Paris, scheduled until Sunday 20 March.

Eight Sardinian operators are present at the Parisian show, housed in the 156 square meters of the stand, representing hotels, associations, tour operators and tourist services. In addition to Sardinia, only two other Italian regions have a reserved space: Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. The ‘Spazio Sardegna’ is also characterized by the projection of some videos with images of Sardinia, as well as some musical performances with the diatonic accordion and launeddas.

“For Sardinia, the French market is the third in order of importance with 1.5 million presences and 90 weekly flights depart from the island’s three airports connecting the island to thirteen French locations – highlighted the commissioner Chessa – After a few years we have returned to the Paris fair because we intend to strengthen the tourist flow from France, focusing on some very popular trends, such as experiential tourism, food and wine and religious paths. Strengths of our offer, which can make us achieve the goal of strengthening certain market segments and new seasons “.

After Paris, as part of the campaign planned by the Region, in the coming weeks Sardinia will participate in the Imtm fair in Tel Aviv and at the Bit in Milan, while at the end of May it will be present at the Imex in Frankfurt dedicated to Mice (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions).
